Notes:

• IMPORTANT: MemTest86 V7 images supports dual booting (UEFI/BIOS). On machines that don't support UEFI, the older V4 BIOS release of MemTest86 will be automatically booted.

• MemTest86 is a stand-alone program that does not require or use any operating system for execution. The version of Windows, Linux, or Mac being used is irrelevant for execution. However, you must use either Windows, Linux or Mac to create a bootable CD, Floppy or USB drive. The Windows and Linux/Mac packages are identical except for the installation methods.

System Requirements

• x86 based hardware, 32bit or 64bit
• UEFI or BIOS platform firmware (UEFI required to boot V7)
• Windows, Linux, or Mac OS
• CD or USB Flash Drive (>= 256MB capacity)

MemTest86 V4.3.7 (OLD RELEASE)

As MemTest86 V5 (and later) supports dual booting of the newer UEFI version and the older V4 BIOS version, you can still run MemTest86 V4 using the above V5 (and later) bootable images. However, the download links for the V4 downloads are still provided for those that prefer to work with the V4 bootable images.
